Welcome to Northern Lights Tracker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website (auroraforecast.app) and iOS mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By accessing or using Northern Lights Tracker, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Description of Service
Northern Lights Tracker provides aurora borealis (northern lights) visibility forecasts based on real-time data from NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center. Our Services include:
- Aurora visibility probability calculations for any location worldwide
- Real-time KP index monitoring and space weather data
- Interactive aurora oval maps
- Push notifications for aurora activity (mobile app only)
- Apple Watch companion app with aurora forecasts
- Aurora AI assistant for personalized insights
- Educational content about aurora borealis
Important Disclaimer: Aurora forecasts are predictions based on scientific data and models. Actual visibility depends on many factors including weather conditions, light pollution, and solar activity variations. We do not guarantee the accuracy of forecasts or that you will see the northern lights.
3. Use License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Modify, copy, or create derivative works based on our Services
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our Services
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks

Our aurora forecasts are based on data from NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center and other scientific sources. While we strive for accuracy:

- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information
- Weather conditions, cloud cover, and light pollution significantly affect visibility
- Aurora activity can change rapidly and unpredictably
5. User Responsibilities
When using our Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate location information for forecasts
- Use forecasts as a guide only, not as a guarantee
- Take appropriate safety precautions when viewing aurora outdoors
- Verify local weather conditions before traveling
- Not rely solely on our forecasts for travel or business decisions
- Respect local laws and regulations when viewing aurora
6. Mobile App Specific Terms
App Store
The Northern Lights Tracker iOS app is available through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Location Services
The app requires location access to provide accurate forecasts. You can control location permissions through your device settings. Denying location access may limit app functionality.
Notifications
Push notifications are optional and can be disabled in app settings or device settings. We are not responsible for notifications that fail to deliver due to device settings, network issues, or other factors beyond our control.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch companion app requires an iPhone with the Northern Lights Tracker app installed. Apple Watch functionality depends on device compatibility and watchOS version.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on our Services, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Northern Lights Tracker or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. NOAA data is in the public domain.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties of accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information

10. Limitation of Liability

Safety Warning: Aurora viewing often requires travel to remote areas and cold climates. You are solely responsible for your safety, including appropriate clothing, emergency supplies, and informing others of your plans. We are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur while using our Services.
12. Modifications to Services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

20. Age Restrictions
